Stupid Arena for Quake II
Stupid Arena is a server-side Quake II mod which makes the following changes to the gameplay:
- Permanent Quad Damage
- Each player starts with 400 health
- All weapons (except BFG) are replaced with rocket launchers
- All ammo (except grenades) is replaced with rockets
- BFG and megahealth are replaced with the new Rapid-fire Railgun (animation is not working properly).
- Quad damage and Power Shield are replaced with Invulnerability
- Health replaced with Megahealth, stimpacks replaced with normal health
- More armor - a shard is worth 10, jacket armor worth 100, combat armor is 200 and body armor is 400
- Works in both single player and deathmatch, although it may make single player a bit unbalanced ;)
Note - the mod has been updated (on 16th Feb) so that megahealths are replaced with the RRG, but due to situations beyond my control, the version number wasn't updated. So if you downloaded it before that date, you'll need the latest version.
